| YOU MUST READ THE ENTIRE BIBLE BY YOURSELF |
|
WHOEVER YOU ARE, you must read the entire Bible on your own.
The reason for this is that there are so many different christian denominations, and all say different things, regarding different issues. But in the beginning, the most fundamental document in which all Christian churches agreed, is the Bible. We all agree, that the Bible is the foundation of our doctrines. And yet, although most people claim to be Christians, less than 1% of them have read the whole text, cover to cover. The great majority (is that you?) have really no idea about what the Bible really says. And therefore, christianity is divided, and is fading, because Christians(?) don't really love the Lord Jesus enough, not even as to at least read His Word. The Bible, God, Jesus... are the least of their concerns. But how much should Christians love God? Jesus answers: " Thou shalt love The Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strenght, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself" (Luke 10:27 )
Also, how are you going to best choose a church, or a congregation, without having read the whole Bible first? Maybe you were born into a denomination, and you went to church with your parents all your life, and so you still go now. But you have not read the whole Bible. So you don't really know if your church is telling it to you as it is. It just makes sense. If you want to choose a church, start from the beginning, read your whole Bible. You may be going to any church, and convinced of being safe in your beliefs about God. But you have not read His Word. Unless you read the whole Bible and understand it, you may find yourself thinking that you are a Christian, but in practise opposing everything the Bible says, because you simply don't know it. Because you have no idea of what the Bible says, you may end up being against God. (Not a good idea). You either live by what the society around you has taught you, or by the Bible. If you have not read the whole Bible, you are most likely living opposed to it, even if you call yourself a Christian. If you doubt this, check it out yourself: Read the whole thing.
Every person who comes to believe in the Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour, must be baptized, as it happenned in the Bible with new believers, and inmediately put himself to the task of reading the whole Bible. Then he will be able to discern the truth, or falsehood, in what different churches, or preachers say. To discern among the leaders of society, among the people in churches, among all people. Not that reading the whole Bible inmediately guarantees you a perfect understanding of all its riches, but if you read it, it will certainly help to begin to understand.
If you are a Christian, if you name the name of Jesus, and call yourself a Christian, it is an absolute minimal thing, that you should read the Word of God. How could it be much, to ask from you, that you read the Word of God?. If you have the smallest desire to know God and His Will, if you have the slightest hint of Love for God, how could it be much, to read the whole Bible? If you want to know the way God wants you to live, if you want to seek his favor and avoid his wrath, if you want to succeed in life and go to Heaven at the end, how could it be a heavy thing to read the whole Bible? You see the thick book, and it appears as much, to you. Too much. As if God is not worthy of you spending your precious time reading His Word. Well, if it is too much for you, an extremely hard duty to perform, to just read the whole Bible, if you don't feel it is worth your time, if you prefer to watch your television or be online, if you don't even ever plan to read the whole Bible, if it is not at all in your schedule, or among your goals...you should question if you are really part of God's People. Only God's people shall be saved in the last day, and the rest will sadly perish. The Good News is that anyone in the whole world could decide to become part of God's people, regardless of race, income, gender, nationality, language, etc, through JESUS.
If you are not a Christian, we hope to present enough information in this website to show you that The Bible alone, among so many books, is really supernatural, and contains God's Word, being infinitely superior to all other religious texts. To show you with logic that there is plenty of reasons to believe the Bible comes from God, and not from man. To show you that you can't find a text even close to the Bible in supernatural characteristics, through logic and reason, not through blind fanaticism. To also show you, after you realize that The Bible is really supernatural, that Jesus alone is who can save your soul unto everlasting life, who can save you from a destiny in hell, and who you should serve with all of yourself. Also, that Jesus is God, who came to earth and lived among us, as amazing as it sounds, and taught us The Truth.
Feel free to compare any of the teachings of BibleUnion.org with your Bible. Please read all your Bible on your own, to see if the things we say are truth or not. In English, we generally recommend the King James Version, without denying the usefulness of comparing versions or doing further investigations into the original tongues.
